"What Now?"

I just saw JJ Abrams/Matt Reeves' Cloverfield last night. That movie is pretty intense. The ending made me mad, however, I think I understand the choice the creators made. The ending as it is felt real enough (except for the recovery of the tape, which seems a little sketchball), but a "helicopter off into the sunset ending" would have been just as cheesy and answered fewer questions.
